Not a lot to report really, those who have bothered to venture out have had little success save for the odd Flounder, small Whiting or immature Bass. 

Everyone is waiting for the first Plaice to arrive off Portsmouth and Hayling, none have been reported yet but a few small specimens have been taken by the boats fishing The Blocks off Eastney so hopefully the shore anglers will have something to smile about soon.

There's always a chance of a Thornback Ray from the Gosport marks, particularly Lee-on-Solent and Hill-Head.
